Easter

I die to rid my pain from my body.

I die to rid the earth of my reality.

I hang in mid-air, I hang with no care,

I hang for a day, I hang above clay.

The tree...

My accomplice, my support,

Setting me free.

I die.

The last thing I see

Is my beloved,

looking at me.

Tonight!

If I passed away tonight,

Many things are left undone.

Everything that should be

Has been said,

But understanding’s not been won.

If I passed away tonight,

Many paths remain untrod,

Everywhere that should be

Has been seen,

But experience stays in the sight of god.

If I passed away tonight,

I would regret it so,

For future times,

They look too bright –

No –

I shall refuse to go.
